PA For POTS Awareness

 What is POTS?
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition caused by a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system controls the unconscious body functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, and digestion. A person with POTS experiences a significant increase in heart rate upon standing. POTS is a complicated condition that can cause a large list of symptoms, has a multitude of causes, is difficult to diagnose, even harder to treat, and relatively unknown even in the medical community.
